In an interview with UK-based Balochistan freedom supporter Tommy Robinson of the Rebel Media I tell him about the dangers London and the United Kingdom are facing at the hands of Pakistan origin Islamic radicals.
It is crazy that ISI moles are now sitting in the UK parliament, serving Pakistan rather than British interests.
In the past the UK did lot of harm to people of color in her former colonies but this does not mean Britons should become sitting ducks at the hands of Islamic radicals like Anjem Chaudhry, whom is thankfully serving jail time. “Sons must not pay for the sins of their fathers,” I said.
The interview took place at the Broken Chair in Geneva. I had gone to Geneva for a week and had worked pro bono for the Balochistan cause. If you like the interview kindly click the donate button and donate generously.
As Afghanistan was reeling under a series of terror attacks that left scores killed, one of the best sons of Afghanistan, former US ambassador to the UN Zalmay Khalilzad directly blamed Pakistan and called for a comprehensive strategy to defeat the war imposed on his country of birth by Pakistan.
In a series of tweet Sunday, Amdassador Khalilzad who is fondly called Zal said, “The terrorists backed by #Pakistan have declared war against the Afghan people. #Afghanistan and its allies need an effective plan to protect civilians and go after their enemies. This should be the number 1 priority.
“President Ghani should invite political leaders, seek their advice and involvement behind a strong plan. It cannot be business as usual. Afghan leaders must unite to mobilize the people and other assets to confront and defeat the barbaric threat.
“Politics should be put aside for now. Afghans should press their leaders to rise to the occasion and stop their little games. Afghanistan’s future is on the line. @ashrafghani @realDonaldTrump.”
Zal, the highest ranking Muslim to ever serve the US government, author of The Envoy and former professor of Columbia University, is one of the few Afghan Americans who understands the deceptive nature of Pakistan army and ISI, inside out.
The commander in chief of the United States, President Donald J. Trump, in a rare tweet of solidarity with Muslim victims Saturday tweeted, “Taliban targeted innocent Afghans, brave police in Kabul today. Our thoughts and prayers go to the victims, and first responders. We will not allow the Taliban to win!”
Ambassador Zal’s views were backed by a young Pashtun-Afghan diplomat based in Geneva. Notwithstanding the Pakistan government official condemnation of the fresh spate of terrorism, Bilal Ahadyar, second secretary at the Afghan consulate in Geneva, believes Pakistan’s ISI is 100 percent involved in the boorish and cruel suicide assaults and blasts in Afghanistan “by persistently supporting, financing, preparing, preparing and giving safe sky to the adversaries of Afghanistan, Taliban, Haqqani Network and other partnered radicals.” Ahadyar regretted that despite being a neighbor, China consistently supports Pakistan which gives “places of refuge” to the fear mongers.
Ahadyar said irked over the US presence, Iran and Russia too were playing a role in destabilizing Afghanistan by siding with the Taliban. At the same time he lamented that while the US and the free world recognize Pakistan as the purveyor, they have failed to take action against the rogue state.
Both Khalilzad and Ahadyar are Pashtuns, which is the dominant nation in centuries old Afghanistan and the other nationalisties are Tajik, Uzbek, Hazara, Aimak, Baloch and few others. Pashtuns in Pakistan, created artificiially by the British in August 1947 by the division of India, form the second largest nation in that country.
However, a huge chunk of these Pakistan Pashtuns instead of following their legendary leader Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, who is buried in Jalalabad, say they follow Pakistan’s tuberculosis infected leader Mohammed Ali Jinnah. These Pashtuns have earned themselves the title of Gul Khans, or dubious Pashtuns, as many Afghan, India and Baloch patriots believe Jinnah was a British agent.
Meanwhile, the stateless Baloch all over the world empathize with Afghanistan and are asking Washington DC, Kabul and New Delhi to make a joint strategy that includes freedom loving Baloch of Balochistan to defeat Pakistan terrorism.
(Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad called this writer the “prime minister of Balochistan” at an event at the Johns Hopkin SAIS in Washington some times back).
A leader of a Sindhi party seeking freedom from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan met with Congressman Pete Olson in Houston Saturday.
The Houston meeting was arranged by the Indian American community.
After the lecture of Rep Olson, Zafar Sahito, a leader of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz of Shafi Burfat, asked the congressman about the $62 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the aggressive and expansionist policies of China in the warm waters of Indian Ocean and how the US will handle it.
Rep Olson, a former naval officer, said as the US is a close friend and ally of India, Washington shares Indian concerns and is aware that China is using Pakistan to get access to international market. So hopefully some solution is sure to come to check the Chinese ambitions, he said.
In the end Sahito and and a Sindhi Hindu from Khairpur, Kishore Sharma gave Rep Olson a beautiful Sindhi ajrak as part of a tradition of honoring guests.
During lunch time, Sahito and Sharma, whose niece Aarti Kumari Sharma was forcefully abducted and converted in Khairpur by Islamic goons backed by the ISI, carried on their discussions on issues related to Sindh and Balochistan, Pakistan support to Islamic terrorist groups such as the Jama’at ud Dawa of Hafiz Saeed and the Haqqani network.
The Sindhi and Hindu activists told Rep Olson that US funding of Pakistan to counter jihadis was used by the Pakistani Deep State against Sindhis, Baloch, Pashtun and other oppressed nations and ethnic groups in Pakistan.
The activists also discussed the how Pakistan has become a huge jail for national and religious minorities where the Deep State is committing human rights violations, including enforced disappearances and kill and dump, of political workers in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pashtunkhwa with impunity.
Rep Olson also heard about the forced conversions of Hindu, Christian and Ahmadi girls to Islam and their forced marriage. Rep Olson was also provided with a list of victims of enforced disappearances.
The congressman has promised to move the State Department to question Pakistan over the tsunami of human rights violations.
Thousands of Baloch fishermen in the port city of Gwadar in Balochistan are likely to lose their daily earnings of less than three dollars for three days in a row as Chinese investors descend on the strategic port Monday.
Gwadar is central to the $62 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which aims to connect one of the most neglected of its western provinces, Xinjiang, with the port of Gwadar as part of President Xi ambitious “One Belt, One Road” plan (OBOR) project
According to Pak Voices, Gwadar administration has decided to ban fishing for three days due to upcoming business expo event to be held on 29th and 30th January in the port city, which will bring 250 companies from around the world including China. At the The Chinese and Pakistanis, who are illegally occupying Gwadar against the explicit wishes of the Baloch people, have billed the event as an important step towards attracting investment.
The move violates international laws, says Kachkol Ali Advocate, former Balochistan fisheries minister who lives in exile in Oslo, Norway.
“It is the beginning of the dictation of new master,” Ali Advocate told this scribe. This scribe had accompanied the outspoken politician for a interview with Radio Pakistan station in Quetta nearly quarter century ago. When the producer asked him what steps the government of Pakistan had taken to develop fisheries in Balochistan, Ali Advocate responded in a brutally honest manner, “None.”
Ali Advocate said since times immemorial majority of the inhabitants of Gwadar were fishermen, who earned their livelihood by fishing. “Depriving them of their inherent rights, is tantamount to killing them and their families economically. The government notification prohibiting fishermen to from fishing is a clear violation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Indigenous Peoples 2007 and International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights,” he said.
Citing the work economist Mehbubul Haq, he said the new concept of human security stresses the security of people, not only nations or states; new strategies of sustainable human development that weave development around people; new partnership between state and the market to combine market efficiency with social compassion; new forms of international cooperation, to focus assistance directly on the needs of people rather only on the preferences of government.
“The rising tide of people participation must be channeled into the foundation for a new humane society, where people finally take charge of their own destiny. But Baluch have been deprived a chance to decide their own destiny,” Ali Advocate lamented.
Uncertainty hangs over the fate of Gwadar’s fishermen. “These days, most of the time I see a ban on fishing around the port for security reasons, as well as restrictions put in place by construction. I have a small boat but I can’t go to out to sea to fish. In my boat there are seven people working, which means seven families are dependent on fishing. There are hundreds of small boats in Gwadar like mine,” a Baloch fisherman Rasool Bakhsh was cited in The Diplomat as saying.
The Republican senator and doctor from Kentucky, Rand Paul, is sincerely keeping Americans safe and America first, especially if viewed in the backdrop of Pakistani moles stealing of sensitive Congress information and most liekly passing it to the ISI .
Sen Paul introduced introduced legislation to prohibit the Department of State and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) from sending American taxpayer dollars to Pakistan. Instead, the bill would redirect those funds, amounting to $1.28 billion from the State Department and $852 million from USAID, to the Highway Trust Fund.
President Donald J. Trump had already put his weight behind Sen Paul’s bill by calling it a “Good idea” on January 5.
U.S. Representatives Mark Sanford (R-SC) and Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) will be introducing companion legislation in the U.S. House.
The bills coincided with a presentation summarizing the findings of a four-month internal probe by the House’s Office of the Inspector General. Headlined “UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS” the probe, according to investigative reporter Luke Rosiak, “concluded that Democratic IT aides made unauthorized access to congressional servers in 2016, allegedly accessing the data of members for whom they did not work, logging in as members of Congress themselves, and covering their tracks.”
The aides named are Imran Awan, his wife Hina Alvi, his brothers Abid and Jamal, and his friend Rao Abbas, Pakistani-born aides whoselivesarefilledwithreasonforconcern. Abid’s Ukranian wife Natalia Sova and Haseeb Rana were also involved in the Awans’ activities but departed the House payroll prior to the investigation.
According to the Inside Government, the Awan brothers earned eye popping salaries, higher than most other congressional staffers.
Imran Awan earned an estimated salary of $165,130 USD as a Shared Employee of Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA34)– 2.4 times greater than the median for a House staff. He was also a staffer for Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA14) and Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY9).
“Soon after Imran Awan joined the staff of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz in 2005, his brothers Abid and Jamal, his wife Hina, and his brother’s wife Natalia all appeared on other members’ payrolls, supposedly as IT administrators. His best friend Rao Abbas landed on the payroll too. Most of them made salaries ordinarily only chiefs of staff earn, but they were rarely seen or heard from in Hill IT circles,” Luke Rosiak reported.
In March last year rep Louie Gohmert made startling revelations about the Pakistani agents and demanded the urgent need to find out “how much damage these alleged criminals did from Pakistan to our Congress.” (Please see below)
Abid Awan salary was $164,980 USD as a Shared Employee Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI9)– 2.4 times greater than the median for a House staff. Awan has been employed in Congress since at least third quarter of 2009 or probably earlier, and had also been a staffer for Rep. Baron Hill (D-IN9), Rep. Jim Costa (D-CA16), Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL22), Rep. Melissa Bean (D-IL8), Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA6), Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH13), Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ8), and Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY9).
Jamal M Awan earned an estimated salary of $157,577 as Shared Employee of Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA26)– 3.1 times greater than the median for a House IT administrator, according to Inside Government. Awan has been employed in Congress since Q2 ’14, and has also been a staffer for Rep. David Loebsack (D-IA2), Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA33), and Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ9).
Only Imran Awan’s best friend Rao Abbas who was a Shared Employee of Rep Theodore Deutch (D-FL21) made $93,151 which was close to the median for a House IT administrator.
So it is apparent the Pakistanis fooled the US government not only from Islamabad, but right here in the US Capitol.
“We fail our responsibilities to protect our country and properly steward taxpayers’ hard-earned money when we support countries that chant ‘Death to America’ and burn our flag. Let’s bring that money home and use it to help rebuild our infrastructure instead of giving it to a nation that persecutes Christians and imprisons people such as the doctor that helped us get Osama bin Laden,” said Dr. Paul.
The legislation is only the latest effort by Dr. Paul to put Americans first by ending taxpayer support to Pakistan. In July 2012, Dr. Paul introduced an amendment to limit foreign assistance to Pakistan unless it released Dr. Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani doctor who helped the U.S. track down and kill Osama bin Laden.
Dr. Paul introduced another amendment in September 2012 to strike the $4 billion-a-year foreign aid to Pakistan, Egypt, and Libya, which would have then provided an additional $2 billion to the $1 billion jobs bill for veterans and applied the remaining $2 billion to reducing the federal deficit.
Also in September 2012, Dr. Paul secured a vote on standalone legislation cutting the aid contingent upon release of Dr. Afridi, with nine other senators joining Dr. Paul. In March 2016, Dr. Paul forced the Senate to vote on the sale of $700 million in F-16s to Pakistan, with 23 other senators joining Dr. Paul in opposition to the sale.
Additionally, Dr. Paul has repeatedly urged Pakistan to reform laws that have led to the targeting of religious minorities, including introducing S. Res. 109 last April to call on Pakistan to end the unjust imprisonment of Pakistani Christian women Aasiya Noreen, commonly referred to as Asia Bibi.
Likewise, Rep Tulsi Gabbard, a beautiful Hindu heroine, who defended the US in battlefields, has tweeted against Pakistan support to terrorists like Osama bin Laden and Hafiz Saeed of the JuD. This correspondent has a bet with a Hindu businessman from Balochistan that Gabbard will become the president of the United States in 2024.
REP LOUIE GOHMERT SPEECH IN CONGRESS, MARCH 7, 2017
There was a time when we had mainstream media that actually did
research, asked questions, dug to the bottom of things. But there are
IT–information technology, mainly working with computers–employees,
shared employees for several Democrats that are under investigation.
Imran Awan was the company owner. Abid Awan, Jamal Awan, Hina Alvi–the
wife of Imran Awan–and Natalia Sova, wife of Abid Awan, each made
$160,000 a year as IT-shared employees working on computers for various
Democrats in the House of Representatives.
The Awan brothers are of Pakistani descent, but their immigration
status is unclear. There are a lot of things that are unknown about the
Awan brothers. But they worked for our former DNC chair, Debbie
Wasserman Schultz–that is Imran Awan. These people are under
investigation for stealing material, potentially accessing material
they shouldn’t have, for taking material off of Capitol Hill and
stealing it, using it in other places.
We are told, oh, not to worry, they didn’t access classified
intelligence information in the SCIF; but other IT people tell me, once
someone is in the congressional system, the calendar, email for one
Member of Congress, if they are good, it is not that hard to break into
lots of other Members of Congress’ email and calendars.
What country that hates America–some that like America–wouldn’t
love to know who people are meeting, especially on the Intelligence
Committee like some of the people that have employed these?
Some of them, very fine members of things like the Ethics Committee,
Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, Intelligence Committee. Let’s see, Andre
Carson, Sandy Levin, Jackie Speier–a lot of people, good people–Tim
Ryan. A lot of these folks, they employed these folks. They were very
trusting, kind people. And these people didn’t have a background check,
and now they are under investigation. I heard some have been told that
Imran Awan, the lead guy, went back to Pakistan.
Well, if this guy set up and was working on computer systems, is it
possible he could have–and this is what a normal mainstream reporter,
30, 40 years ago back in the seventies would have asked: Well, did he
set up the DNC computer system that got hacked, that was supposedly
hacked by Russians or others, did he set that up so it could be hacked?
I mean, there is a lot here going on that we don’t know the answers to,
and we deserve to know the answers.
There were mortgage transfers, debt evading bankruptcies. Imran Awan,
Jamal Awan were known to be the ringleaders of the group, had been
providing services since 2005; has convictions for driving offenses
which were serious enough to become criminal misdemeanors, used an
illegal radar detector, drove an unregistered vehicle; some say, after
masterminding the family’s finances, was running the business
completely by 2010 and instructed Abid not to even speak to anyone.
The wives of Imran and Abid also began receiving paychecks from the
House of Representatives. They purchased two homes in Lorton in 2008,
one of which was associated with all three brothers at one time. Alvi
sold that home in 2016 to the younger brother Jamal for $620,000.
Imran owned a home and put it in his father’s name in 2008 in
Springfield. Abid later claimed, in bankruptcy, that the house was his.
Jamal Awan was placed on the House payroll at age 20, making
Imran is also a real estate agent. Despite making $160,000 in
congressional salaries, debts went unpaid by the Awan brothers,
including debts to the Congressional Federal Credit Union.
$100,000 was taken from a known Hezbollah-connected fugitive, a
fugitive from the FBI; and they are associated with this Hezbollah-
connected agent, and there is no press out there getting to the bottom
of it? What happened to the Washington press, the proud press of
Washington of the 1970s? Well, they are in the bag for one party. They
are not interested in getting to the bottom of the news. They are all
God not just bless America, God help America. We have got to have
people wake up before we do much more damage to ourselves. It is time
to turn this country around, and one of the things we should start with
is getting to the bottom of this investigation; find out how much
damage these alleged criminals did from Pakistan to our Congress.
Take out Western or Muslim Punjab from the map of South Asia and the region will be one of the most peaceful regions on earth? No jihad in Afghanistan and Kashmir, no crimes against humanity in France-sized Balochistan.
It is all a sad story.
As many as170 Pashtun, Baloch and Seraiki students of Punjab University, Forman Christian College, Government College and Punjab College in Lahore, capital of Punjab, have been lodged in Kot Lakhpat jail where many of them were badly tortured, according to Quetta Online
The online service on Facebook said 10 students have been sent on physical remands to unknown police stations while five students were severely injured in Iqbal Town and are in dire need of medical aid.
Punjabi media personalities, including one of the most bigoted Orya Maqbool Jan, were blaming Pashtun, Baloch and Seraiki students in stead of the goons of the Islami Jamiat-i-Tulaba, student wing of Pakistan’s Muslim Brotherhood, called the Jama’at-i-Islami.
“I have requested and urged three federal ministers, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and the Punjab governmentt, but they are deaf and dumb to resolve the university issue,” Dr Senator Jehanzeb Jamaldini of the Balochistan National Party, adding. “Punjab government and federal ministers are also siding with the IJT and showing least interest to resolve the bloody Issue.”
“The aggressive and violent treatment meted out to Baloch and Pashtun students by the Punjab police and administration deserves condemnation. The government’s silence and keeping the arrested students hungry in lock ups does not reflect civilized thinking. Inter-provincial relations are already strained and bitter. Such actions will further widen the gulf,” said another BNP leader, former senator Sanaullah Baloch.
It is Muslim generals of Punjab who are behind the non-stop daily acts of terrorism in Afghanistan, the stone-pelters in Kashmir and they are the ones who are responsible for conducting unconscionable acts of crimes against humanity against the people of Balochistan since 2005—for the fourth time since March 1948.
Punjabi generals crimes in Balochistan include killing 35,000 Baloch through firing and aerial bombardments, throwing live men from choppers to create terror in Baloch villages, tying the dead behind trucks and dragging the bodies in villages, enforced disappearances of 21,000 Baloch patriots and burying of 6,000 of them in mass graves, burning of homes and villages and ridiculing and beating crying women and children. Scores of women and Baloch kids are feared to be languishing in dungeons and being used as sex slaves by the Pakistani soldiers. More than two dozen items of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
In 1971, these Punjabi Muslims committed crimes against humanity in Bangladesh as well, committing genocide of three million Bengalis and raping 200,000 Bengali women, who gave birth to 30,000 Babies of War.
On the situation of the students in Lahore, the Quetta online said, “The actual situation is far more alarming and disturbing than we had imagined,” the post said, adding the Punjab Police has filed a total of eight FIRs (First Information reports) against students on charges of terrorism, vandalism and dacoity. Four of these FIRs have invoked anti-terrorism laws. Around 15 students were named in FIRs by name whereas more than 100 students were declared as “unknown.”
And once the FIRs were filed, the police started arresting every Baloch and Pashtun student that they could get lay their hand on.
Eighteen students have been sent on a seven-day physical remand. Some of those sent on physical remand were critically injured by the Islami jamiat Tulaba goons, were not provided proper medical treatment and reportedly being subjected to further torture.
“Those students who are on a judicial remand haven’t been provided any food. Friends and families of arrested students are not allowed to meet them. Food brought by friends of arrested students, isn’t allowed either. As if this isn’t enough, the police is using various tactics to delay presenting these students before court so as to undermine chances of a bail. This is an extremely disturbing situation,” said Quetta online.
Names of students on a seven-day physical remand are Abdullah Wazir, Asfandyar khan, Ashraf Khan, Mohammed Shafa, Amir Khan, Alamgir Wazir, Jahangir Khan. Students who were critically injured and need medical attention and presently being held in Iqbal town police station are Nasir Wazir, Qaiser Khan, Qasim Bugti, Hameed Ullah, Iqbal Khan and Mirwais Khan.
Among those arrested were Bilal Khan Kakar, a humanist philospher who had visited the USA on an exchange program to USA.
But is unlikely the Punjab leaders will ever listen to sane counsel. If you look at history, you will be shocked on how the Punjabis Muslims treated their own Hindus and Sikh brothers and sisters in historic Hindu and Sikh cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi. Even today these Punjabis treat their own Ahmadis, Christians and even Shias as if they were lepers.
When one of the most liberal governors in Punjab history Salman Taseer stood up to defend a voiceless Christian woman, Aasia bibi he was gunned down by a Muhammad freak Malik Mumtaz Qadri. Let alone the unlettered Punjabi masses, the criminal was treated like a folk hero by the educated lawyers community, garlanded and kissed. Tens of thousands showed up at his funeral, treating him like a martyr, while Asif Ali Zardari, who was president of Pakistan at the time, did not show up for the funeral of slain governor, his party member, out of fear of Punjabi Islamists, who have an unholy alliance with the army generals. Aasia Bibi, meanwhile, continues to languish behind bars.
It is true Punjab produced poets like Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Habib Jalib, but unfortunately those guys existed on the fringe of Punjab society. The mainstream Punjab thinking is represented by the most bigoted Lal Topi Wala, or red-capped, Zaid Hamid, and the generals at the army GHQ and ISI headquarters in Aabpara, Islamabad.
In contrast to Punjabi Muslims, Punjabi Sikhs and Punjabi Hindus are some of the most magnanimous and kind hearted folks.
When Pakistan generals pinkies burn, people who suffer from their terror smile. But the world, specially India and US, need to take concrete action to end terrorism rather than just fingering them.
This was my thoughts on Free Balochistan adverts on cabs, trucks and the bill board at the Times Square and before that in Geneva and London.
The adverts were a welcome step as many Americans and Westerners, even the well educated ones had never heard about Balochistan and the gravity of the tsunami of human rights violations there. There was a concert at Times Square on New Year’s eve that watched by a billion people on television and many of viewers must have noticed the advert behind the stage. That said there is a flip side to such ads.
It is unfortunate that the Baloch have to pay out of pocket for grabbing the attention of the world to Pakistan crimes against humanity and war crimes, slow motion genocide and ethnic cleansing which have accelerated in the backdrop of the $62 billion so-called China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which aims at snatching Gwadar Port from the people of Balochistan.
The ongoing atrocities in Balochistan should be a matter that the UN which is housed in New York should take up as a burning issue. Likewise the Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch should be addressing the situation in Balochistan and make the world aware about it.
Democracies of the world should open their lips on Balochistan to ask Pakistan this is not acceptable and in fact step in to play their role politically, militarily and diplomatically under the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) clause of the new set of international laws. In a way these adverts commercialize the gravity of the situation when the mountains of Balochistan have been painted red by the blood of 35,000 Baloch patriots, 21,000 became victims of enforced disappearances and as many as 6,000 were either killed and dumped or buried in mass graves . But nonetheless something is better than nothing.
The young lecturer, a member of a Pashtun family from Kakar tribe hailed from District Qilla Abdullah but had lived most of his life in Quetta, capital of Balochistan and did not have the faintest idea about the price he will have to pay for solidarity with the Baloch people.
As he lay on the hospital bed bleeding after receiving an ISI assassin’s bullets in is body, the vice chancellor of the university, Farooq Bazai, who allegedly works closely for the Pakistan spy services, sent him his dismissal letter.
“My family has been closely associated with the struggle for Pashtun rights, reforms and freedom of the oppressed nations in Pakistan,” says Najeeb Khan, who lives with his wife and two sons in Albany, New York. “My uncle was assassinated in 1990 in Kabul by the Pakistani intelligence in Kabul because of being a Pashtun patriot. I have always seen myself as a successor to my uncle’s politics.”
In 2011, he joined the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) as a lecturer. During my work tenure there, he says he saw firsthand horrible human rights abuses in Balochistan by the Pakistani Military Intelligence and infamous spy service ISI against the Baloch people.
“I have with my own eyes seen extremely tortured bodies of my own Baloch students and coworkers at the hands of Pakistani Army. Watching these atrocities first hand, brought me close to the Balochistan movement for liberty and justice.”
Khan remembers August and September of 2013 as the toughest months of his life and professional career. He had founded the academic staff association in BUITEMS to encourage lecturers and teachers from different Balochistan Universities and colleges to come forward and speak on burning issues of the day that Baloch people were facing, to expose the Pakistan- China monstrous collaboration in exploitation of Baloch resources in the form of CPEC, and the copper and gold projects.
The association was demanding protection to academic staff and students of the universities against state atrocities and to hold open discussion on the topics like right of Baloch self-determination, and victims of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. “Our work was relevant since most of those abducted by the security agencies were students, some professors like Saba Dashtyari were assassinated and others were were among the forcibly disappeared persons,” Khan explained.
He said, “Since I was the founding member of the academic staff association at BUITEMS, I faced enormous pressure straight from the ISI and the Vice Chancellor’s Office,” Khan said. “They wanted me to give up on the cause, write an apology letter and demolish the association. All our executive members were already suspended by the BUITEMS and subsequently many of them were fired. Some of our cabinet members were put behind bars.”
Though he was not arrested, Khan was asked to report in the security guard’s room 9 am to 5 pm every day and wasn’t allowed to enter the university premises or communicate with any staff member.
“That continued until the day I was shot by ISI on October 06, 2013 when I was going home after a meeting with our association members at a café,” Khan recall. He was walking back home around 10 pm on a downtown road called Patel Road, when two persons on a motorbike came close to him.
“They were both wearing helmets. I found it starnge as most people don’t wear helmets in Quetta. I saw one of them take out a gun and tried to run in a narrow side street but he opened fire,” he said. The first bullet hit him on his shoulder and he fell down. “He fired three more bullets and one hit me in the hip. Thankfully, I could still get up and managed to flee. When I reached close to my house my two neighbors saw me all blood and rushed me to the Quetta Sandeman civil hospital,” he says. The bullet had pierced through his muscles.
“I was still in the hospital when the university called to inform me they have a letter for me. A clerk of the university came to the hospital to give me my the letter. When I opened the envelope, it was my termination letter,” he recalls. Two other faculty members, Hammal Baloch and Farman Kakar were also sacked. “The vice chancellor who fired us has been on his post for 11 years now though generally the vice chancellor position is for three years or at best four years,” said Kakar.
He said he was indeed expecting consequences for siding with the Baloch cause. “But honestly, I wasn’t expecting any physical attack uptil that point. I thought it would be only limited to my career, which was in any case at its worst ebb,” he says.
He was fortunate that at the time he was carrying a multiple visit visa of the US. “My father strictly told me to leave. So I arrived in the US no sooner than I healed somewhat on October 23, 2013,” he said. The reason why his father wanted to put him out of harms way was that Khan’s uncle Ameenullah Kakar, a Russian-educated doctor was killed by the ISI in Kabul.
Khan urges the Pashtuns and Afghans to stand with the people of Balochistan for their fundamental right to self-determination, in their own national interests. “In fact, Pakistan army and ISI and their religious proxies are determined not only to annihilate the Baloch, but also to wipe out the educated Pashtuns on both sides of the Durand line,” Khan emphasizes. He says he care two hoots about pro-Pakistan Pashtuns called Gul Khanas, who have lost their national pride and are slavishly serving the army generals of Pakistan.
It seems like its time to rejoice for there are all indications that the state of Pakistan will not go beyond the second terms of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and US president Donald J. Trump. The contradictions within the ruling Punjabi elites have reached a point where the khakis (soldiers) and muftis (civilians) can no longer exist peacefully, the dismissal of premier nawaz sharif on flimsy charges showed.

Balochistan Sabz Baat, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Graan Graan Afghanistan.
The original slogan was Pakistan ka matlab kiya, laa Illa ha illalla– which meant the country was only for Muslims.
But this video mocks the reality of Pakistan– a country that remained under martial law for nearly half of its existence since the British carved it out of India in August 1947.
The rogue state where the army to this day calls the shots is under the domination of the Chinese. One of the most corrupt states in the world, officials from the state where he army owns the country take bribe to go to Mecca for hajj.
This is a country that deceived the US and took $33 billions to fight terrorism but instead gave sancturay to the most dreaded terrorist Osama bin Laden.
Lastly, it is a country that has forever clamors for jihad against India and adheres to the Ghazwa-i-Hind, a teaching of Prophet Mohammed that says those among his followers who conquer India, will go directly to heaven.
In poetic form: Pakistan is a state of staves, bullets & martial law; a state meant for eating Chinese mice; a state where officials take bribe to go for Hajj to Mecca; a state that took the US for a ride for dollars; a state that gets beaten by India again and again, but still talks Ghazwa-i-Hind.
