A key worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi, who is followed on twitter by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has rubbished a Pakistan news story that claimed he had funded the super expensive Free Balochistan advert campaign in London and New York.
“The New International reporter had called me three days ago and asked if I had funded the New York campaign, and I said no,” Tajinder Bagga, spokesperson for the BJP in New Delhi, said Monday. ‘I told the reporter i have always supported the freedom rights of the Baloch and Sindhi people even when he was with the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, before joining the BJP,” Bagga told Mustikhan’s Musings on the phone from New Delhi.
The News International in a report accused Bagga, who is BJP’s New Delhi spokesperson has eerie links to the expensive advertisements that sprung up in two major international cities across the world to malign Pakistan. he report accused Tajinder Bagga of defacing walls around the Pakistan High Commission.
The BJP Delhi spokesperson regretted that Pakistan is jhoot ki dukaan or a country a lies as its newspaper had published a lie against him without any evidence. He also said in a lighter he likes to gift needle and thread to Pakistan as the adverts have busted the country cobbled up by Lord Mountbatten, an uncle of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Tajinder Bagga said he deems it his humanitarian duty to call for an end to human rights violations in Balochistan and Sindh.
The BJP activist also shared a twitter post from five years ago when his Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena put up posters near Pakistan Embassy demanding freedom for Balochistan and Sindh. Pakistan’s ISI was also outraged when Tajinder Bagga organized a seminar in New Delhi in fall 2015 that was attended by a Baloch and Pashtun activist. London-based Hybyair Marri had confirmed his representative attended the meeting, according to The Hindu.
According to The New International, Indian prime minister had even hosted Bagga along with other pro-right media influencers at his official residence in an event called ‘#super150.’ Unaffected by the fake report against him, the fiery activist retweeted a tweet which reads, “Mohajirs will get their independence from Pakistan. The matter is not open for discussion, however, we will negotiate on the demarcation of the borders.”
It was not clear why The News International reporter ran the fake story as he is believed to be a close friend of some exiled Baloch feudal leaders. Intriguingly some sections of the so-called liberal media in india also appear to be allergic to Tajinder Bagga.
Tajinder Bagga belongs to the Sikh community, a branch of Hinduism, who played a heroic role by fighting Muslim invaders when they were marauding India and converting people at the point of sword. Thousands of Sikhs perished in those battles.
