An alleged agent of the Inter Services Intelligence who is posing as vice chancellor of a university in Balochistan has sought tenders for a bullet proof armored jeep.
The BUITEMS, acronym for Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences, which calls itself a public research university in Quetta, capital of Balochistan, is headed by vice chancellor Farooq Bazai. Bazai now needs the fully loaded, duty paid imported jeep for “safety and security.” Tenders for the purchase have been posted in Pakistan newspapers.

Bazais are a sub tribe of Kakars and live in the suburbs of Quetta. Most of their tribal lands were forcefully turned into military cantonment. Other than him Naseebullah Bazai and Naseem Bazai, both of who were former chief secretaries of Balochistan, were also close to the ISI. Right now the deputy chief of the ISI in Balochistan, Rauf Bazai, belongs to the tribe,
Five years ago a leading Baloch student leader of the university Qambar Chakar was abducted by the intelligence services, tortured, killed and his body dumped. But the vice chancellor kept mum. Many of the faculty of the university have lost their jobs for sympathizing with the Baloch struggle.
Five years ago a BUITEMS bus attacked by a suicide bomber that killed four, including three students and wounded 72 others, Dawn newspaper reported. The victims included Hazaras from Balochistan and Afghanistan.
